The Game: The Basics

A five-card draw is another common type of Poker game, in which a complete hand is dealt to each player and they place an ante before the hand begins. The dealer then deals three cards on the flop and one on the turn, and then another card on the river.
The players then re-bet the pot after each card is dealt, and they must match or exceed the previous bet. Unlike a fixed-limit game, in a draw or stud poker game the limit may be increased by a certain amount before and after each betting interval; however, no more than twice as much may be bet in any final betting interval.
